UTI prevention tips
There are several ways to avoid UTIs. Drinking plenty of water helps flush out bacteria before an infection begins and is one of the best ways to prevent a UTI.
In addition, some studies have shown that increasing your vitamin C intake can also prevent UTIs by killing off bacteria in the urine. Red peppers, kiwi and other fruits and vegetables are great (and delicious) sources of vitamin C.
Some studies have also suggested that probiotics can prevent UTIs. Probiotics are microorganisms that help balance the bacteria in your body. Probiotics can be taken in supplement form; they can also be found in fermented foods like kefir, kombucha or kimchi.
